Overview of the Technical Intern Training Program
•The purpose
Our goal is to teach foreigners the techniques and skills cultivated in Japan, so that they can utilize them after returning home, thereby contributing to the economic and social development of their home countries.
・Target audience
The program is aimed primarily at young people from developing countries who wish to acquire skills in Japan.
·Period
The period of technical training is usually three years, but if certain conditions are met, you can stay for up to five years.
Overview of the Specified Skills System
•The purpose
The aim is to accept foreign workers who can immediately contribute to industrial sectors in Japan where there is a serious labor shortage.
・Target fields
Nursing care, construction, manufacturing (automobile maintenance, electrical/electronics, industrial machinery, etc.), agriculture, fishing, food and beverage manufacturing, restaurant industry, etc.
・Specified Skills No. 1
Overview: A field that requires relatively basic skills and knowledge.
Period of stay: Maximum 5 years (renewable annually).
Job Change: It is possible to change jobs within the same field.
・Specified Skills No. 2
Summary: A field that requires a higher level of expertise and technical ability than Specified Skills No. 1.
Period of stay: Indefinite (family members may accompany).
